Managing Physical Aspects of MS
If you’ve just found that you or someone you care about has MS, you’re probably feeling overwhelmed. You might be scared, angry, confused, depressed, shocked, or frustrated—or all of those things at once. These feelings are totally natural and normal.
Learn to respect your own coping mechanisms. Some people find that learning as much as they can about MS is helpful, while others discover that simply talking about their feelings may help them get through difficult moments. Some people like to get very involved with local MS Society activities, while others choose to deal with the disease more privately. There is no one way—and certainly no one “right” way—to deal with a chronic illness.
