My Boys

When you’re diagnosed with something like Multiple Sclerosis you start realizing things such as; health, what’s really important to you, life and most importantly who your friends are. When I was diagnosed (don’t tell my boys :P) but they helped alot, more then they know.

If you read my other blogs you would know there was a point where I couldn’t walk, my boys were there for me since day one!! They helped me get up, visited me in the hospital, and came over to my house on weekends when I was home from rehab or doctor appointments. And they still treated me the exact same it was as if I wasn’t sick at all. Actually the only times I feel like I don’t have MS is when I’m with my friends or at MS camp.

When my friend Chesney first came to see me in the hospital the first thing he said to me was “are you going to eat that pizza?” I couldn’t stop laughing for like 10 min after that, he took my mind off the hospital. My boy Chester once picked me up and carried me to the movie theatres when I couldn’t make it. My boy Darnyl made sure he came to my house as much as possible to hang out and make me laugh. I love my boys Zain and Kushan for always being there and not letting me give up when I was at my worst. I could tell you a million stories were each one of these guys helped me get from point A-Z. Sometimes I feel like a nuisance and don’t want to go anywhere because I feel like I’m holding them back. They always remind me though that they don’t care about my limp and they sit right beside me when I need my breaks. They actually make living with MS a lot more easier and I would be lying if I told you we were the “perfect friends” with no drama, but these guys are FAMILY and family fights and move on. I love my brothers!
